Melei-Leishna is an orchid. This orchid name was given as " Melei-Leishna" by Khamba at THE FESTIVAL OF WORSHIPPING the God and Goddess Morang Thangjing Lai Haraoba. Khamba climbed up many hills to find a flower for presenting to god Moirang Thangjing. Luckily he found that orchids which is very beautiful. Then he was the first man to give the name that orchid as Melei Leishna. Its common name is pineapple orchid. The botanical name of that orchid is Dendrobium Densiflorum.
